Locations

Dr. William Tremlett is an Enterprise native and graduated from Enterprise High School. Dr. Tremlett then attended The University of Alabama where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training while working with Alabama’s renowned sports medicine department. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Tremlett completed a Masters of Science in Sport & Human Performance with a concentration in Sports Management at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi. While there, he covered Delta State’s Division II men’s soccer, men’s tennis, and women’s tennis programs as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. After this, Dr. Tremlett received his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Auburn, Alabama. 

Dr. Tremlett completed his family medicine residency with Baptist Health in Montgomery, Alabama. During his training, he volunteered to provide event medical coverage during the 2022 World Games hosted in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. Tremlett then pursued additional training at The University of Alabama where he completed his primary care sports medicine fellowship. As a fellow, Dr. Tremlett served as the assistant team physician for Central High School (Tuscaloosa) and local collegiate programs including the University of Alabama (NCAA Division I) and Shelton State Community College (NJCAA Division I).

While board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), he is also a proud member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). Dr. Tremlett has also completed case reports and presentations through AMSSM and ACSM.

In his spare time, Dr. Tremlett enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and playing soccer, basketball, and baseball pick-up games. He and his wife are the proud parents of one son and are excited to return to the River Region.
