Dr. Mattox graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Auburn University. He attended medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Mattox completed his internship in General Surgery and his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Tennessee: College of Medicine Chattanooga.
Dr. Mattox is a Montgomery, Alabama native. He is married to Susie and they have two children. When Dr. Mattox is not working with patients he enjoys staying active by jogging, biking, and hunting.
