We are proud to announce that Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons has been awarded the prestigious Ethics in Business Award at the River Region Ethics in Business and Public Service Awards Program, sponsored by the Samaritan Counseling Center. This recognition highlights our commitment to ethical practices and our dedication to serving our patients and community with integrity.
The selection process for this esteemed award is thorough and rigorous. Nominees are put forth by both the business and lay community, followed by in-depth interviews and information gathering. The faculty of the Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) Office of Business and Community Initiatives plays a vital role in this process. They gather nominees and send students to collect information on each one, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation. The nominees are then presented to a Selection Committee, independent of the Samaritan Counseling Center, which carefully evaluates each candidate before deciding on a winner. We are thrilled to have been selected in the large business category, alongside the other finalist, Haynes Ambulance Service.
On October 15th, during a celebratory banquet at the Alabama Activity Center in downtown Montgomery, our CEO, Jenna Roton, accepted the award. Her heartfelt speech resonated with the audience, emphasizing how much this award means to us as an organization. We are proud to be recognized for our ethical standards, and we strive to always do what is right for our patients and employees.
